Eleanor Roosevelt High school will present a special concert dedicated to the memory of Rosemary Walters on Thursday April 1st at 7:30 pm. The concert will be held at Eleanor Roosevelt High School Auditorium.
Rosemary and James Walters were killed in a car accident on Palm Sunday of 2001.
Rosemary was a substitute teacher at ERHS and was very involved in the music
programs. Their sons, Philip and Jeff, participated in both band and orchestra at ERHS.
Now, both of them are majoring in music in college and will perform at the memorial
concert. Music educators from around the state of Maryland will attend the concert.
Professor Jack Stamp of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania
(http://www.arts.iup.edu/facmus/jestamp/) composed the music "Strength in Weakness"
specially for this concert. He is a world class composer and a friend of both Rosemary
and Jim.
The concert is open to the public and the admission is free. For further information
